San Andres Island in Pictures

My wife and I recently had our honeymoon on the island of San Andres in the Caribbean sea. I don’t know why I waited so long to visit this special place. It’s by far the closest I’ve come to paradise on Earth. Highly recommended.
I not only took pics of the typical tourist stuff like Johnny Cay and beaches. I also got shots of where the locals live, Barrio San Luis, and the city center.
For easier “slideshow” viewing for a virtual tour of the island, see these two albums on the Expat Chronicles FB page:
- San Andres tropical (beaches, Johnny Cay, coastline, etc.)
- San Andres urban (city center, barrio San Luis, Loma, etc.)
- San Andres
- The bigger one was $100!
- Johnny Cay: paradise island just off the coast of paradise.

Glad you had a good time man- looks cool!
do you know anything about the viability and cost of living there?

Cost of living wouldn’t be relevant because residence is TIGHTLY controlled – something I’ll write about in the next article on San Andres.

I went there last year, loved it there. My wife and I scuba dived and drove around the entire island with a golf cart. We are headed back in August but going to providencia island
